Mouse4 Go-Back Block
MarkM
Mouse4 Go-Back Block Stop your browser from navigating back every time you press the Mouse4 button. This lightweight extension blocks the "go back" action triggered by your mouse's side button - also known as the back button, thumb button, button 4, or XButton1 - so an accidental press no longer throws you off the page you're on. Why you might need it: - Push-to-talk: If you use Mouse4 as your push-to-talk key in Discord, TeamSpeak, Mumble, or other VoIP software, this stops the browser from jumping back mid-conversation. - Accidental presses: Perfect if you keep bumping the side button and losing your place on a page or in a form you're filling out. - Everyday browsing: Keep your side button free without it hijacking your navigation. How it works: - Once installed, the extension quietly intercepts the back-navigation that the Mouse4 / side button would normally trigger. - There's nothing to set up - install it and it just works. Your forward button and all other mouse functions are left untouched. Lightweight and private: - The extension is tiny (under 20 KB) and collects no data whatsoever. No tracking, no accounts, and no permissions beyond what it needs to do its one job. Please note - protected pages: Chrome prevents extensions from running on certain pages, so go-back blocking will not work on: - chrome:// and chrome-extension:// pages - The Chrome Web Store - PDF documents - Pages with JavaScript disabled - Security warning pages and error pages (404s, network errors, etc.) - view-source: and data: URLs From the developer of Previews (for Twitch & YouTube & Kick): https://previews-app.com/ Contact and support: Email: [email protected] Report an issue: https://github.com/Mouse4GoBackBlock/Mouse4GoBackBlock/issues
